no restaurant on the steppe only you eat with local people under the ger under the ger atmosphere is fantastic: you must absolutly try you will pay around 5usd per personn including for sleeping under the ger. sometimes you can find some guantz who are mongolian highway restaurants but don't wait for Maxim's in Paris¨generally the guantz are ger where you can find some food as "buzz" (big ravioli with mottun meat) On U.B. you can find many reataurant who sell traditional or international food, we tryed "El Toro" and "Chinggis" where on this one you can listen traditional music.
Favorite Dish: you eat different kind of cheese, good wodka, hormog, yogurt, cream and the famous airak... this is traditional food on countryside. Nomads will cook for you a soup with pasta (good).

Mongolians appreciate a lot milk products called "white food", and that is what they offer first to visitors. They believe that eating milk products make longer the own life. The meat or "grey food" has also its place in Mongolian cooking. From middle of August to middle of September, Mongolian hunt and eat boiled marmot. Mongolians don't eat fish and lakes are full of big fish, you can buy some from the monads and you will just have to make a fish barbacue. In U.B. restaurants offer you international cooking and after a few weeks in the steppe you will appreciate ! Guantz or soup-kitchen, almost only used by Mongolian serve good and plentiful helpings of traditional food for around 100 T. If numerous and hidden in the skycrapers in the towns, on countryside you will find them under gers. It is easy to find food in the small towns: you will find bolled or fried ravioli with meat. In nomadic families you will always welcomed with one or more cup of airak (fermented milk), cheese and salt tea: TO REFUSE IS TO OFFEND Under the ger they will offer you airak, yogurt, hormog, cream and cheese. Cheese (camel, horse, yak or goat) can be salted or sweet and you will find 1000 different types: advice: take only a small piece and if you like it you take more, and if not you take something else? During summer, nomads won?t serve you meat because it's the period where make dry meat for winter food, but, for dinner you will find a little on your noodle soup (excellent). If you will be lucky they will offer you vodka freshly distilled (exquisite drink)
Favorite Dish: LEAVE FOR STEPPE: you must be autonomous before leaving for your tour. For lunch you will make a picnic with your driver. Follow his advice to buy evrything you need and think about your driver who also has to eat and he is so much more than useful, he is your lifeline. He will take some of his own food but it won't be so good so you should share with him. Buy water in big quantity? From home you can take lemon juice, salt and peper, oil and vinegar, creams, fruits and vegetables that can keep a long time, tuna. A good idea: buy fruit and vegetable in U.B., if you can in U.B. boil some eggs. For cooking Mejet has a camping stove. Take fork, spoon and knife, glass and 1 plastic plate for each don't create litter because they don't produce it it isneedless to pollute the land? LEARN TO LIVE WITH NATURE WITHOUT DESTROYING IT LIKE THEY DO. MAKE YOUR OWN COOKING: take from home a camping stove with enough gas for your tour,. The drivers use camping stoves which work with bottled gas, the korean stoves are like diplomatic suitcase, the cover protecting the fire from wind: ingenious system, it takes up very little room and can be bought in U.B.(10USSD)

Pas de restaurant dans la steppe vous partagerez les repas avec les nomades sous la ger.L'atmosphere y est fantastique et vous devez absoluement essayer Vous payerez environ 5USD par personne a la maitresse de maison pour dormir et le repas du soir Les guantz, ce sont nos routiers...mais on ne s'attend pas a etre chez Maxim's a Paris. Les guantz sont souvent des gers ammenagees en restaurant et qui vendent une nourriture simple comme les buzz, sorte de ravioli a la viande de mouton geant A U.B. vous trouverez des restaurants a cuisne internationale, nous avons essayer "El Toro" et le "Chinggis" ou dans ce dernier vous pourrez ecouter de la musique traditionelle
Favorite Dish: Vous gouterez differentes sortes de fromage, de la vodka, de l'hormog, des yagourts, de la creme et le fameux airak...Tout cela constitue la nourriture traditionelle dans la steppe et les nomades vous cuisineront le soir une tres bonne soupe aux pates .

Les Mongols apprecient particulierement les produits laitiers qu'ils appelent "nourriture blanche", c'est d'ailleurs ce qu'ils offrent en premier aux visiteurs. Ils pensent que la consommation des laitages favorise la longevite. La viande (surtout mouton) a aussi sa place dans la cuisine mongole. De mi-aout a mi-sept, les Mongols chassent la marmotte qu'ils preparent bouillie. Les Mongols ne mangent pas de poisson et les lacs pullulent , les nomades vous en vendront et il ne vous restera plus qu'a le cuisiner. A U.B. on trouve des restaurants avec cuisine internationale, apres plusieurs semaines dans la steppe on apprecie... Les guantzs ou cantines, frequentees presque exclusivement par les Mongols sert de la bonne et copieuse cuisine traditionnelle pour environ 1000 T. Nombreuses dans les villes mais souvent cachees dans les immeubles, sur le bord des pistes c'est parfois une simple yourte. Dans toutes les petites agglomerations il est facile de se restaurer (problemes de communication mis a part): on vous proposera du bouillon avec ou sans raviolis a la viande, des khuurshuurs (prononcer rocho) sorte de crepe frite a la viande ou des buuz (prononcer bouze), beignets cuits a la vapeur farcis a la viande. L'hospitalite mongole veut que lorsqu'on rentre dans une yourte, on vous offre de l'airak (lait fermente), du fromage et du the sale (souvent plusieurs bols): IL EST TRES MAL VU DE REFUSER. Dans les yourtes on vous proposera du lait fermente , du yaourt, de l'hormog, de la creme, du fromage. Le fromage (chamelle, jument, yak ou brebis) peut etre sale ou sucre et il y en a mille sortes: un conseil coupez en un tout petit morceau, si le gout vous plait resservez vous sans complexe, autrement changez . En ete, les nomades ne proposent pas de viande aux gens de passage car c'est l'epoque ou ils la sechent pour l'hiver, mais, le soir vous en trouverez un peu dans votre soupe aux pates ( bonne). Si vos hotes vous apprecieront particulierement vous aurez droit a de la vodka fraichement distilee (un regal).
Favorite Dish: PARTIR DANS LA STEPPE: il faut etre autonome en tout avant de partir. A midi vous mangerez sur le pouce avec votre chauffeur. A U.B. on trouve de tout dans les supermarches, suivez les conseils de votre chauffeur pour achetez le necessaire et pensez que lui aussi mange et qu'il vous est plus qu'utile, le chauffeur emporte pour lui mais ils ne sont pas tres riches... Achetez de l'eau en abondance...De chez vous vous pouvez emportez du citron presse, du sel, du poivre, de la vinaigrette, des compotes longue duree, des cremes en boite, des crudites en conserve, du thon. Une bonne idee est d?acheter des fruits et legumes a U.B. cela changera de l'ordinaire et des pates du midi. Nous avions fait bouillir une douzaine d?oeufs avant de partir et nous n?avons pas regrette l'idee.Le chauffeur a un camping gaz pour faire a manger. Emportez des couverts, une timbale et une assiette creuse par persone en plastique reutilisable ,pas de creation d?ordure SVP, car eux n'en creent pas, donc inutile de les polluer. APPRENEZ A VIVRE AVEC LA NATURE SANS LA DETRUIRE COMME EUX SAVENT SI BIEN LE FAIRE. CUISINER SOI MEME: emportez votre rechaud a gaz et assez de combustible pour votre sejour, on ne trouve pas encore de recharges pour les rechauds "camping gaz". Les chauffeurs utilisent des rechauds qu'ils alimentent avec une bombe spray, les rechauds de marque coreenne 30X40X15 cm, le couvercle servant a proteger la flamme du vent: systeme ingenieux, efficace, prend peu de place, on peut en acheter a U.B. (10USD) OU ACHETER: U.B. est bien achalandee, les super marches sont nombreux et offrent tout le necessaire Dans les petites villes vous pourrez acheter vos produits frais et de base manquants au marche ou dans des epiceries (delguur) mais parfois rayons tristement degarnis

NESSUN RISTORANTE NELLA STEPPA

Nessun ristorante nella steppa, dividerete i pasti con i nomadi nella iurta: l'atmosfera y´ magica! da provare assolutamente! si paga circa 5 usd alla apdrona di casa per il dormire e la cena. Le GUANTZ sono i nostri Auto Grill sulle autostrade. Sono spesso dell iurte trasformate in ristorante e servono una cucina simplice come i Buzz, specie di raviolo gigante aal carne di montone. a U.B. si trova ogni tipo di cucina. Abbiamo provato "EL TORO" e il "CHINGGIS" dove in quel ultimo si puo anche ascoltare musica locale.
Favorite Dish: Proverete ogni tipo di formaggio, vodka, hormog, yogurt, panna e il famossimo airak... Questo costituisce il cibo tradizionale nella steppa e i nomadi alal sera vi cucinerano una buona misnestra di pasta

I mongoli apprezzano particolarmente i derivati del latte chiamati y´il cibo biancoy´, y´ quello che offrono per primo ai visitatori. Credono che il consumo dei derivati del latte prolunga la vita. La carne o y´cibo grigioy´ a anche il suo posto nella cucina mongola. Da mety´ agosto a mety´ settembre, i mongoli cacciano e mangiano la marmota che preparano bollita. I mongoli non mangiano il pesce e i laghi ne sono pieni, i nomadi ve ne venderanno e tocchery´ a voi di cucinarlo. A U.B. si trovano ristoranti con cucina internazionale e dopo alcune settimane nella steppa sono apprezzatiy´ I guantz o mensa, frequentate quasi solo dai mongoli serve della buona e abbondante cucina tradizionale per circa 1000 T. Numerose nelle citty´, anche se nascoste nei palazzi, nella steppa spesso le guantz sono in una iurta. Nelle cittadine y´ facile restaurarsi : vi sary´ proposto dei ravioli alla carne fritti o bolliti. Dai nomadi sarete sempre accolti con una o piu ciotole di airak (latte fermentato), formaggi e ty´ salato: RIFIUTARE=OFFENDERE Nelle iurte vi sary´ offerto delly´airak, yogurt, hormog, panna e formaggio. Il formaggio (cammello, giumenta, yak o capra) puy´ essere salato o dolce e ne esistono mille sorte; un consiglio: prendete solo un pezzetino se vi piace servitevi ancora, altrimente provatene un altroy´ Dy´estate, i nomadi non propogono carne ai visitatori perchy´ y´ il periodo dove la fanno essiccare per ly´inverno, ma , la sera ne troverete un po nella vostra minestra di pasta (molto buona). Se sarete fortunati vi sary´ offerto della vodka appena distillata (una squizitezza).
Favorite Dish: PARTIRE NELLA STEPPA: si deve essere autonomi in tutto prima di partire. A mezzogiorno farete un pic nic col vostro autista. Seguite i suoi consigli per comperare il necessario e pensate che anche lui mangia e che vi y? piy? che utile, ly?autista prevede il cibo per lui ma non sono tanto ricchiy? Comperate acqua in abondanzay? Da casa potete portare delle salse per condire la pasta (la pasta mongola y? buona). Portare zucchero in polvere, bustine di ty?, succo di limone, sale e pepe, olio e aceto, budini, frutta e verdure lunga conservazione, marmellate e miele per la colazioney? Uny?idea: comperare delle mele cinesi a U.B., se avete la possibility? a U.B. fate bollire una dozzina di uova. Mejet ha un fornello a gaz per fare da mangiare. Portare posate, bicchiere e 1 piatto per persona di plastica riutilizzabiley? non create rifuitiy? perchy? loro non ne creanoy? inutile inquinarliy? IMPARATE A VIVERE CON LA NATURA SENZA DISTRUGGERLA COME LORO SANNO FARE. DOVE COMPERARE: a U.B. si trova di tutto nei supermercati, ma y? solo a U.B. che troverete qualche frutta e verdura fresca. Nelle cittadine potrete trovare i prodotti di base mancanti al mercato o nei generi alimentari (delguur) ma spesso scaffali quasi vuoti. CUCINARE SE STESSI: portare da casa un fornello a gaz con combustibile a sufficienza per la durata del vostro soggiorno. Gli autisti utilizzano dei fornelli che alimentano con una bomboleta spray, i fornelli, di marca coreana, si presentano come una valigia diplomatica, il coperchio serve a proteggere la fiamma dal vento: sistema ingegnoso, prende poco spazio possibile di acquisto a U.B.
