Martha's Vineyard--an island retreat

by londonlover - last update: Jul 27, 2003

Gays Head Cliffs, Martha's Vineyard
Martha's Vineyard is a 40-minute ferry ride from Cape Cod, and is summer home to the rich and famous (especially wealthy executives from NYC). It's a great day trip from Cape Cod, and has its own flavor and history. The main towns are a bit touristy, but the cliffs are definitely worth seeing, as are the two big towns--Oak Bluffs and Edgartown. Jaws was filmed here, as was part of Sabrina with Harrison Ford. :)

I really like Martha's Vineyard, and you've helped me remember all the sunny days there. It's beautiful. Several towns help keep up the interest.
