My long-awaited pilgrimage... | It's the Magical Mystery Tour! |
As a die-hard Beatles and Paul McCartney fan since age 13, you can imagine how I'd dreamed of seeing Liverpool one day. Well, on my second UK trip, I promised myself there was no way I was going to skip Liverpool this time, so the dream came true.
So here's my page on Liverpool, with a huge Beatles bias--so fair warning is given to all you non-Beatles fans out there. :) I have included some other major sights as well, however.
Besides my attraction to the city because of my Fab Four affinity, I loved Liverpool for itself--it is a town with a great sense of humor and a firm sense of identity. In many ways, it reminds me of Chicago, especially with its riverside and the renovated Albert Docks (a la Navy Pier in Chicago). I'm sure even non-Beatles fans can truly appreciate Liverpool's varied attractions. |

Love the page. I took the same MMT tour bus. I was the old man on my tour who knew all the answers! I feel like I have just read my page. We saw so many of the same places. |
