Getting TO/AROUND: Back in the States, any building that looked this good would either be a museum or privately owned. Here in London, it's a train station. I love this town! :) This is Marylebone Station, one of the prettiest, both inside and out.

'Mode': AROUND
Category: Subway/Metro
Getting TO/AROUND: If you've been to London, you know there's a certain pop culture fascination with the Tube, and while it's hard to explain, I understand why. It's a mind-boggling labyrinth buried under the city (or as in this picture, above it--usually like this only outside of central London), and it's well-run, usually clean, and great exercise, given the never-ending walkways and stairs you have to negotiate to ride it! You may not see London if you use this as your primary transportation while you're here, but for me, it's an experience in and of itself! Mind the gap!

Getting TO/AROUND: I love the Tube...I love the Tube...I love the Tube...did I mention I love the Tube? It's not perfect, but maybe it's my city-loving nature that makes this people mover so fascinating to me! I could listen to that robotic girl say "Mind the gap between the train and the platform" and study my little Tube map all day long... =)
