  • All us Americans will benefit from knowing this. Apparently, hotels in the UK almost never have face cloths--i.e., washcloths, that they leave for guests. You can get towels and face towels, but purportedly Europeans bring their own washcloths with them on vacation. I didn't know this, so we ended up buying four washcloths at a Boots drugstore! :)

     You were on the wrong street if you were on Melcombe. The opening scene of "A Hard Day's Night" took place on Boston Street right beside Marylebone Train Station!
