Took students to Merida and later to Isla Mujeres with InterAct, an excellent homestay arranging student travel company based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. We stayed with very nice people and had a great time. I especially enjoyed the Mayan sites: have always liked archaeology and reading about their mathematics, astronomy, writing system and religion. It is odd to see the Mayan people of today, and it makes me wonder if they are proud of their past glory.
