are the eyes of my soul"

Hi. I'm Dimitris. Or Hamouras as my friends usually call me. Well if you ask me what this means then actually it derives from my last name. And it might mean 4 things:
1. Filthy whore (most commonly used definition of my nickname - a more literary definition in modern greek is "a woman that masturbates"),
2. The horse rider or cart driver (from the ancient greek word "hamoura" which is "the rope to handle a horse"),
3. Baker (comes from the Pontiacs language - greeks used to live in northern Turkey). The most probable definition since my ancestors 3 to 6 generations back were all bakers.
If you are wondering what the "White berries, black berries..." in the page title means, then, hmmm... It's a motto in Greek related with my nickname. It doesn't say anything profound. Not at all. It just rimes nice in Greek. It goes on like this: "...you are an old Hamoura". Ha! As if i didn't know!
I was born and lived in Thessaloniki, Greece on fools day. There's a nice story about my birth. Wanna know? Keep reading then.
My mother had a very easy birth with me. She went to the hospital on 1st of April to do a checkup and the doctor said: "What checkup? You are about to give birth!" And so she did. After an hour there came to life a beautiful and healthy boy (that was me). My dad was so excited of course (he already had a daughter and now a son, what more could he want), that started calling all our relatives to tell them the good news. The thing is that nobody believed him. So next day he called them back and said: "Remebemer about that baby i was telling you about yesterday? Well, it's a boy!"
I have studied physics and computer science (quite odd combination don't you think? Am I a geek or what?) and currently I live and work in Tokyo as a computer games programmer (Super geek i tell you!!!).
As all of VT members i love travelling. If my travels also include hiking, swimming and outdoor activities in general, then it's even better. I wouldn't say that i have travelled a lot. I've been to many places in my homecountry, Greece (nearly everywhere if one can say that), but i consider my self a rookie when it has to do with travelling abroad. Well, i hope i have the time to catch up.
I was thinking of making a list of my top places, cities, blah, blah and blah, but it didn't take me a lot of time to realise that it's impossible. First of all, i can't distinguish one place from the other. There's no rule to do that. Every spot has something unique. Doesn't have to be good, beautiful, breathtaking, or any other adjective. The important thing is that they have become part of my life, part of me. Second, can you imagine how this list would start? 10 Top Countries. The 10 ones i've been!!!
What's the point not to update, correct or refresh them anyway?
They are supposed to be in constant change and that's how they're gonna be.
There you go i've said it...
