| us & Sears Tower on the architecture boat tour |
We were in Chi-town for an incredible week in late October and were fortunate enough to have absolutely flawless (and freakishly) beautiful weather. We wandered around the Miracle Mile, went up the ubiquitous Sears Tower, went out to see several houses by Frank Lloyd Wright (America's most famous architect of the 20th century) in Oak Park and South Chicago (the Robie House on the Univ. of Chicago campus), visited several museums and ate at a few superb (and affordable) restaurants. I would recommend Chicago to absolutely anyone interested in architecture, American History, museums and good food. The people were very nice- it must be a midwestern thing- and the city was very clean and safe feeling. |
