Morelos: More than just Cuernavaca...

Tepoztlan

K in gardens sweaty after hike
Our stay at the UNINTER spanish school in cuernavaca was fantastic and was made even more fun thanks to the trips we took around the beautiful state of Morelos. One of the most memorable places was Tepoztlan, a tiny isolated village only 30 mins. by bus outside Cuernavaca. If you are in the area it is not to be missed.
I don't know what exactly she was doing

Tepoztlan, Morelos

The town and the small market in the middle were really interesting to walk around. The gorgeous hills around the city make the place feel like you're in the Guatamalan jungle or something- it really is incredible.

Tepoztlan- hiking to the cliff-top temple

At the end of the main street you can begin a hike up to the top of the cliff to a small ancient temple which overlooks the whole valley. It's fairly grueling, but if you take your time it's not too bad and it's really worth it. "se vale la pena"
yeah, we were THAT sweaty

In A Nutshell:"If you've seen enough of Mexico City, head out to Cuernavaca and the State of Morelos- you'll love it!"
