The wonderful City of Leeds
The city of Leeds is the largest city in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
Many people will be surprised to learn Leeds is the second largest metropolitan district in the UK and covers an area of 562 square kilometres, the population being 715,402 making it the third largest city in the UK and home to more than 75 nationalities reflecting its cultural diversity.
In view of its large population, it is ethnically diverse, approximately 7% of the population are of minority groups - it is therefore very cosmopolitain.
Leeds bills itself as a 24 hour city and there are lots of activities in the city from museums, galleries, cafe culture, nightclubs and excellent shopping!
Leeds is a perfect place to base yourself, you can shop in the morning, have a trip to the countryside in the afternoon and then back to town for the nightlife!
Leeds is a great city and well worthy of a visit!
