Guadeloupe, "l'île papillon", called like that because of its shape as a butterfly.
Guadeloupe, in the French West Indies, is an island full of contrasts: flat and dry Grande Terre with its huge sugar cane plantations and beautiful white sandy beaches ; mountainous and volcanic Basse Terre with abundant tropical vegetation. The latter being in fact one large National Park.
And flowers ... I've never seen so many flowers. They really are everywhere!
