Bistro-brasserie style. Casual atmosphere.
Everything fresh and home-made. Salads, pasta, wok, fish, meat, seasonal specialties ...
Very friendly staff.

Favorite Dish: We all had soup of the day, which was broccoli soup.
Main courses were:
spare ribs for my son
veggie wok for his girlfriend
deer with cranberry compote and an oven-baked apple for my husband
stir fried veggies with strips of turkey for me.
All was delicious.

They also have chocolate fondue for dessert, which is a pot of hot melted chocolate (served on a burner) in which you dip pieces of fruit (pineapple, strawberries, pear, ...). It looked so good but all of us were full with our starter and main course. There will be a next time ...

Bistro De Zilverden: Bistro De Zilverden

It's a bistro-style restaurant with very casual atmosphere. Style is years 50-60. They have a beautiful patio for warm summer days and nights.
Everything served is fresh and home-made and especially their daily varying lunch menus are worth their price (17 euros for a starter (usually a salad), a main course and coffee).

Favorite Dish: I don't think I've eaten something bad here.

Heide Statie: Heide Statie

Lunchroom, sandwich shop (called Loket 5, next to the lunchroom - see second picture), restaurant, cafe. It's all there in this new little place next to the railway station of Heide.
The building has been completely renovated after it had been standing there un-used for maybe 20 years.

In the summer an inviting outdoor terrace is available, with a view on the station square which is so typical for a small village.
BTW, the first picture is taken on October 27th, 2005 during our Indian Summer. It was 22°C.

Favorite Dish: A sandwich, a complete breakfast, salads, pastas, fish- and meat dishes ... as well as home-made desserts. Whatever you like!
There's a snack menu that is available whole day long and a special dinner menu that is available from 6 pm till 9.30 pm.

Opening hours are from 8.30 till 24.00 on week days and from 10.00 till 01.00 on weekends.

Strijboshof: Strijboshof

I love this restaurant for its location in the municipal park. Food really comes in the second place here.
Although their buffet breakfast on Sunday is always good, extensive and cheap.
Also a good place for a light lunch or afternoon coffee.

Favorite Dish: The breakfast buffet on Sunday.
In the summer you can have breakfast on their terrace overlooking the park.
