Take the cablecar up to Mt. Jenner.
It starts in Schönau am Königssee (600m alt.) and you can ride either to the Mittelstation (1200m) or to the Bergstation (1800m).
If your condition isn't too bad you can hike back down.

The Königssee is a fjord-like embedded emerald-green lake, 8 km long, upto 1.2 km wide and upto 190m deep!
Special is the world-famous Königssee ECHO. The boats(wo)man will play the trumpet when the boat is in the middle of the lake and you will hear the echo from all sides. Magical!
The boats that are used are electrical, so no noise and no air pollution.
Boat tours start in the centre of Schönau. Ticket shop in front of the gangway.

When you take the boat tour in Schönau, you will see, long before the boat anchors, the picturesque pilgrimage church of St. Bartholomä, the "Wallfahrtskirche". The church has bright right wooden towers (round domes in fact). The reflection of the white church with the red towers in the green lake is so very beautiful, that it almost made me cry.
St. Bartholomä itself is a small peninsula with the church, the former castle (which is a restaurant now), the fisher-house (fish-smoking), the ship hut at the lake, the Meierhof and the hunter house.
It's a great area for walking.

When you take the boat trip in Schönau, take the long one upto Salet. It's a sort of hop-on-hop-off and you can get off at St. Bartholomä first, then take another boat to Salet (or vice-versa).
Salet is at the other end of the lake, surrounded by the mountains and the pastures with grazing cows.
When you walk 15 min. you reach the lovely Obersee, a very small emerald-green lake embedded between the mountains amongst which the Teufelshörner, 2360m.
