Rapallo is one of those very pretty towns at the Riviera di Levante. It has some very nice shops and some fine hotels and restaurants. |
| | The promenade is beautiful. You walk along palm and olive trees and the whole bay is in front of you. The houses have beautiful vivid colors, as in all the other towns that we have visited. |
| | The ancient castle of Rapallo is at the east end of the promenade, just a few metres from the seashore, surrounded by water. The castle was built in 1551 to protect the town from pirates. |
