Getting TO/AROUND: We flew Ryanair from Brussels South (Charleroi) to Venice Treviso. Very convenient and cheap! RyanairIn Treviso a special shuttle (Eurobus service) takes you to either Venice Island (Pizzale Roma) or to Mestre. On the day of your return you take the shuttle back to the airport. Price for a return ticket is 8 euro (ticket is valid 1 week). Buy your ticket at the change office in the airport. The service is in connection with the arrivals and departures of Ryanair flights. Getting TO/AROUND: Venice is built on water so the main transportation system on the island is by water boat. The vaporetto network is very practical and covers the whole island of Venice, including the Canal Grande in the very city centre. A one-way ticket on the network excl. Canal Grande costs 3.50 euro ; incl. Canal Grande the cost is 5 euro. For a one-day travel card (valid 24 hours from the time of stamping) the price is 10.50 euro. A 3-day travel card costs 22 euro. With these cards you can travel all the way to the islands of Murano, Burano, Torcello, etc. as well as on the Canal Grande.
