The Mother City

Tafelberg - Table Mountain
Surrounded by spectacular mountains, a blue ocean and stylish winelands, Cape Town's location can be called quite unique.

The summers are warm and dry (with lots of wind), and the winters are mild with rain now and then.

The number 1 attraction in Cape Town is of course Table Mountain. You haven't been to Cape Town if you haven't climbed - by foot or by cablecar - Table Mountain!
Camp's Bay
Another attraction in Cape Town are the beautiful beaches all around the city. Blouberg Strand, Bantry Bay, Clifton, Camp's Bay, ... to name a few.
The water of the ocean, though, is freezing cold!
The V&A Waterfront
An attraction to many people, but not especially to me, is the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Although the setting is beautiful - with view on Table Mountain - it's essentially one big shopping mall.
The buildings of the old fishing harbour have been beautifully restored in their original Victorian style and have been painted in soft colors.
