Dahab is the most laid back resort in the South Sinai, located halfway between Sharm El Sheikh in the south and Nuweiba in the north.

Dahab has a beautiful golden beach bordered by palmtrees. It consists of two bays: El Qura Bay and Ghazala Bay.

The central area has developed into a tourist centre with mostly low budget hotels, restaurants and bazaars.
The resort has a very lively atmosphere with its restaurants and bars along the main street and the beach. In fact Dahab never lost its "late 60s" atmosphere.

Dahab is famous for deep scuba diving, in particular for its "Blue Hole". The Blue Hole is a 62 m drop-off circular that looks exactly like its name. It's a dark hole that holds corals, fans, eels and dozens of fish species. The space-like depths of the hole provide a magnificent backdrop. However, Blue Hole can be very dangerous and more than a few scuba divers never came back ...

Furthermore, due to the strong wind, Dahab is an excellent location for windsurfing.

The wadis of Qnai el-Rayan and Qnai el-Atschan are just south of Dahab.
