My latest travels ... June 2009: Languedoc & French Alps
We spent a fantastic 3-week vacation at the coast (Languedoc) and in the mountains (Les Deux Alpes). We relaxed at the beach, made rooadtrips in our car, in the Minervois area (wine!) and high in the mountains, my hubby cycled l'Alpe d'Huez amongst others, and we visited some old and remarkable cities. I was sorry we had to come home. :-( |
March 2009: Jordan
After having spent at least ten spring holidays in Egypt, we thought it was time for something different. Jordan it was, this time. And we don't regret it. This trip was a mixture of culture, nature and beach as you can see on my Jordan page. Enjoy! |
| View on Villefranche s.M.from the Grande Corniche | June 2008: Côte d'Azur, France
This was another trip "down memory lane". We visited this part of the Rivièra way back in 1978 ... when we were young and beautiful. Now we're a tad older but still feel young. And beautiful. Anyway, we enjoyed our trip immensely and decided to make another trip down memory lane next year in June. Vive la France! |
March 2008: Marsa Alam, Red Sea Egypt
Another trip to the Red Sea. Marsa Alam, in the south, this time. Pretty unspoilt with a few hotels surrounded by desert, desert, desert and more desert. And a bedouin family every now and then. |
June 2007: Touring in France
We just got back from touring the south of France in my little convertible car. The areas covered are the Auvergne, the Roussillon, the Pyrénées and the Euskadi (Pays Basque). Unfortunately the weather has been so bad in the last days that we decided to come home earlier than planned.

March 2007: Roma, Italy
Rome, city of monuments. Rome, city of squares. Rome, city of churches. Rome, city of fountains. Roma, la città eterna. |
June 2006: Calabria & Sicily
Two totally different destinations: Calabria ... pure and unspoilt, quiet hidden hilltop villages - almost deserted sometimes, white beaches at crystalclear blue waters, the land between two seas ... Sicily ... splashing, bursting with life, fashionable ladies and gentlemen with their telefonino sticked to their ear (or at least within easy reach). On the other hand history all over, the most beautiful baroque towns we've ever seen ... The best of both worlds.
