Favorite Thing: At one of the most busy trafficsquares of Rome you find this huge white marble building, also called The Weddingcake. The building is build to honour Italian's first king between 1885 and 1911 and designed by Giuseppe Sacconi. The building is now also the grave of the unknown soldier. Altare della Patria.

Favorite Thing: The spanish steps are made by the Frenchman, Guefffier in 1723. It was made to be the Spanish ambassay ( that's why it has it's name ) at the Holy Chair. In the past it was loved by artists and Grand Tour travelers,specially English people, that's why it had also the nickname ' English Getto'. Tennyson, Byron, Liszt, Wagner, Stendhal, Rubens, Balzac and Keats lived here. The most beautiful time to visit these steps is in juni or july. The steps are full with flowers, azalea's,

Favorite Thing: The most expensive shoppingstreet of Rome is starting at Piazza di Spagna. If you want to buy some Gucci, Bulgari or a Valentino..........just go ahead !! But...take a big purse to pay the bill.
