Bolivia holds almost as much interest for me as does Peru, pero para mi Peru es Mejor. The reason is the same as that of peru "THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE". For some reason or other I am infatuated with the history of the Inca and in Bolivia also the TIHUANACU. There main area of occupation was just some 75 km west of LA PAZ. It is a mystery why some civilizations seem to disappear from the face of the earth, leaving nothing behind but their temples and a million questions.
Bolovia is a very beautiful country. Bolivia is only one of two landlocked countries (Paraguay being the other)in all of South America. There used to be a corridor to the Pacific ocean but that was lost over a century ago in the war of the Pacifics with Chile.
Bolivia is rich in minerals especially silver. For that matter CERRO RICO a mountain of silver, south of LA PAZ in the city of POTOSI had at one time underwritten the entire Spanish economy for at least 200yrs. This mountain is still being mined today.
