Barcelona is a city of endless beauty. Nowhere else have I found it so hard to withdraw from taking photos at every turn. Here you'll be on your way to see one interesting place, only to catch something beautiful in the corner of your eye and head towards that instead. Of course, on the way to THAT you'll see something else and get distracted once again. Such is the (often frustrating!) wonder of Barcelona! |

| | Gaudi-ville Barcelona is well-known for housing some amazing architectural wonders courtesy of Antoni Gaudi, the late-19th, early-20th century Catalan artist. His most famous work is the unfinished masterpiece, La Sagrada Familia, but he also masterminded Parc Guell, Casa Mila (La Pedrera), Casa Batlló, Colegio Teresiano and many other amazing buildings and monuments around the city. |
Grand and Spacious A large proportion of Barcelona's streets are laid out in a grid system (as in New York City) so it's relatively easy to find your way around, and I found the streets and roads to be very spacious for the most part. It's also a very cyclist-friendly city, plenty of bike lanes and the like. | | |
