    • In Skagway, I would highly recommend a 3 hour train ride called the White Pass and Yukon Route Railway which takes you to the border between the US and the Canada. It retraces the route taken by gold prospectors at the turn of the century. They were starting their long trek from Skagway to the Canada's Yukin Territory in search of gold.
    To do this they had to hike 20 miles and climb nearly 3,000 feet in the process. Temperatures fell into the -50F.
    The scenery is beautiful and this was the highlight of our visit to Skagway.

    • Located 13 miles from downtown Juneau, this is the most accessible glacier and it draws thousands of visitors. The visitor's center at the glacier has nice exhibits and rangers can answer your questions.

    • This was the old red-light district in Ketchikan. It had more than 30 brothels lining the street. Yes, it's now very touristy and "cute".

     Our 1st Cruise was Alaska as well, on the Diamond Princess, bigger again to the one you went on. It was fantastic! Would love to do it again, but its too far away, so just have to re-live the memories.
