We visited Slovenia in May 2006.

We went to see this viaduc in June 2006. I found it to be very impressive.

It is the tallest vehicular bridge in the world, with one pier's summit at 343 metres (1,125 ft)—slightly higher than the Eiffel Tower. From a distance, it appears in the landscape as a giant sailboat. It's the most spectacular bridge I've seen.

I just love the elegant and modern style. This viaduc was built on time and within budget, which in itself is amazing. It opened in 2004. We were able to see it from a small boat which goes underneath the Viaduc on the Tarn river.

If you think VT is only for travel advice, think again !

I was recently taught how to bake an apple pie by MadamX from Calgary, Canada. She helped me make the most delicious pie crust I've ever had.

Kyle was born December 30th, 2006 and I am just crazy about him. I think other grand-parents will understand exactly how I feel about this "new" baby.

I met VT member Beausoleil and her husband, Ed. They just moved up to Northern California and we had a wonderful day in the vineyards in the Gold Country around Plymouth.
