One of the new provinces in Indonesia is Provinsi Banten. Banten was officially separated from the province of West Java (Provinsi Jawa barat) on 17 October 2000.
At the moment Provinsi Banten has 4 Kabupatens/Regencies ( Kab. Serang, Kab. Lebak, Kab. Pandeglang, Kab. Tangerang) and 2 Kotas/townships (Tangerang and Cilegon). Pandeglang ("kota Badak" or Rhino toen, a reference to the rare Javan Rhino, found only in the Ujung Kulon National Park) is misspelled on VT as Pandegelang!
