HWANGE NATIONAL PARK about 14,600sq. kilometres. It became the ROYAL HUNTING grounds to the: ZULU warrior king, MZILIKAZI. In the early 19th cent. and was set aside as a NATIONAL PARK in 1929. Everything is here. But very hard to in RHINO! It has now about 40,000 ELEPHANTS! Being my first park in AFRICA. I was like a kid in a candy store! Didn't really know how to take pics, take pics of what ect. But being in our LAND-ROVER heading to our BUSH-CAMP. We already had some sights!! A highly visited park. Not to be missed! |
| | HABITAT ALWAYS CHANGES! Hwange, many different habitats. From open flat-land to thick bush!! But most of the animals that stay out in the open can see if trouble is on the way!! The elephants, they go where they want!! |
| | "FIRE" NO ICE! Seeing these AFRICA sunsets for the first time. As you could guess it's: FANTASTIC!!!!! Just eat it up!! |

Jim_Eliason Thu Nov 16, 2006 00:39 UTC great tips! | chewy3326 Sat Mar 4, 2006 00:01 UTC Looks like a wonderful place, though too bad about the elephant... this looks like a very interesting and beautiful park! | windsorgirl Sat Aug 7, 2004 14:08 UTC I visited AFrica in the wet season, although it was beautiful and green, I think you are right about better wildlife viewing in the dry season. You really should visit Namibia next, that was my favourite place! | ncfg Sat Jan 10, 2004 21:08 UTC Here is not cold, i think you must return :-) |
