Dingle has exploded in popularity in recent years. The town has had to build more car parks and develop one-way streets to deal with the traffic. In July and August the town is absolutely heaving.
And for good reason...all the peninsulas that reach out from southwest Ireland like fingers in the sea have their attractions, but it's only here on the Dingle peninsula where the scenery is joined by ancient architecture, interesting wildlife, high mountains and an intriguing clutch of deserted islands all added in the mix. |

globetrott Wed May 10, 2006 18:00 UTC sleeping in a haunted house is certainly a lot of fun ;-) | huwhit Wed Aug 17, 2005 13:20 UTC Isn't Dingle the most random little town!! I went there just before Easter and it wasn't too bad. It has the most amazing character - that half pub-half hardware shop!!! |
