We are making a habit of trying out different beer festivals in Germany. After Stuttgart and Munich, it was time for Bremen's Freimarkt! |
|  | Bremen has a handsome city centre on an island surrounded by the river. |
| | Though smaller than Oktoberfest and Stuttgart's beer festival, the Freimarkt was much more accessible, situated adjacent to the main train station. The whole city is taken over by the festival spirit, with market stalls and rides scattered around town.
The city also hosted the best festival parade we've seen so far in Germany. |
