Cape Cod is often used in school as an example of what a peninsula looks like, but it is really an Island. The cape Cod canal cuts it off from Massachusetts and makes it an island. There are two auto bridges, The Borne and Sagamore. The Sagamore crosses into Sandwich Mass.
Sandwich is the oldest town on the Cape Cod. There are many very old houses in Sandwich and surrounding town. Remember this area goes back to the time of the Pilgrims. |
