The beautiful Cathedral of Innsbruk is called St. James (St. Jakob) and it was rebuilt between 1.717 and 1724. it is on Ghotic style and is another very interesting place to visit in the city. This picture was taken from my hotel's window,is not a very good one because it was late afternoon and it is a little bit dark, but I had a great view of the city from my window, whit this beautiful cathedral just in front!.
This is another picture taken at Maria Theresien Street, this time is a small and nice fountain with a very tall sculpture of the Virgin Mary, well I'm not very sure, because we saw too many things at same day,and I forgot something!.Anyway is a very nice fountain!!!.
A good idea if you are walking by Innsbruck's Old Town,is go to see this beautiful medieval tower. It is called "The City Tower"(Stadtturm) and I think that is the highest tower in all the city.
Don't hesitate to go up to the belltower by an interior and steep stairs,I didn't had the time and the chance to go up there, but some members of my group did it and they told me that there is a beautiful view of a big part of the old town, and also of some of best places and monuments of the city.It is located just next to The Golden Roof.

The Hofburg (Imperial Palace) is located just outside the old town, just next to a small and nice park.It was built in 1.397 altough it has been rebuilt and extended many times.
One of best places to visit inside the Palace is "The Riesensaal",a beautiful 31 meters long state room with ceiling frescoes and also embellishment of marble, and gold.So if you have time while are walking by Innsbruck's Old town, don't miss a visit to this nice and interesting royal palace.
Helblinghaus is one of most beautiful buildings that you can find walking in Innsbruk. It was built in Gothic style in 1,730 but the building facade is in Baroque style,it is just beautiful!.If you enlarge the picture, you'll see some details of this nice building that is located very close to the Golden Roof.I don't know if can be visit by inside of building,I just saw it for outside while I was having a coffe in a bar just next to the Helblinghaus.

Located just next to the Imperial Palace or "Hofburg" in german, you'll find this small and nice park,is a nice place to make a stop and take some photos.I don't remember very well but our local guide told us something about that big tree in the park and also the small statue there,it seems that is another landmark of the city, but I can't remember very well.
This is another picture taken at the Golden Roof, here you can see a little bit better, some details of the roof and details in building's facade.
As I said, during my visit to Innsbruck the day it was very cloudy and with some rain also, and the roof was very shinning, as you can see on my pictures, can you imagine it on a sunny day?.
Address: Herzog-Friedrich-Straße, A-6020 Innsbruck
Directions: Old Town
With out any doubts the Golden Roof,is the most visited and also the most known of all buildings that you can see in Innsbruck.
This beautiful building it was built in 1.400s by Archduke Friederick IV as the residence for tiroleans Kings. The roof is 3.7 meters tall and covered with 2.600 fire-gilt copper tiles. The legend about that building says that when the buiding was finished the roof was covered with real gold coins, but I don't know if is true or not!.

This is another picture taken around Maria Theresien street. The best way to see everything in the old town of Innsbruck is walking, the city is not very big and all best places are located in a concrete place of old town.On this area you'll find lots of shops, restaurants,(some of them with outdoor terraces for summertime and if weather permiting)and also lots of traffic as you can see on my picture!.
This is one of most visited places in Innsbruck,Maria Theresien Strasse is located in the old town and mostly all nice buildings that you can see in Innsbruck are located on this street and around. Also is a good place to make some nice pictures whit Alps mountains in background of the street.Unfortunatelly during my visit to Innsbruck we had some rain and the day was very cloudy aswell, but you can see the mountains on my picture.
