The first thing that you must to do when visit Vienna,is see this beautiful imperial palace:Schönbrunn Palace,(Schloss Schönbrunn),this palace it was planned in 1690 by Johann Fischer von Erlach, the most famous architect of the time. The Hapsburg palace was intended to surpass Versailles in splendour, but thrifty Emperor Leopold I cut the budget, and works not begin until 1696,under Joseph I.
There are some guided tours inside the palace, even though only can be visited some of most important rooms, the whole palace has 1.700 rooms!.There are also audioguides availables,a good choice if you want to learn everything about the palace without book any guided tour.
Here were living also the Emperor Franz Joseph and his wife Elizabeth "Sissi" and it was used as summer residence,it is located just outisde of the city center.
Don't miss to see here the Carriages Museum!.

The Ring is called this way because it has a circle shape,it limits the old town of Vienna with Danube river.Walking by the ring, you'll see some of best and most beautiful buildings of the city.A good point to start the ring is the Opera House (Staatoper) and the only thing that you must to do is follow the cars on the big avenue.
There are three lanes of just one way,so all cars are running at same direction. You never get lost just looking at the cars directions. It is a nice and large walk to finish the whole ring, about 2,30 hours,it depends of your speed of course! :-) but I am sure that you'll spend lots of time taken pictures of all beautiful buildings along the ring!. Now I'll show you some of best places to see along the ring. This is a picture of Art History Museum.

If you'll walk by the ring the way I did,so you must to start in the Opera House. This impressive building was built in Reinassance style and is one of oldest buildings in the ring and the center of Vienna. It was completly destroyed during the second world war,and then reconstruction work took the opportunity to modernise the building. The Vienna Opera House was reopened in 1.955 and right now is one of most importants in the world.
