I'll start this "Virtual Tour" in Barcelona with a view of SAGRADA FAMILIA. A must see in the city, even though the building is not finished yet,you can go inside this beautiful temple to take a look, don't hesitate to go up to the belltower at 140 meters,by an interior narrow stairs, where you can see a beautiful view of the city!.
This temple is the masterpiece of the catalan architect Antonio Gaudí,you'll find lots of beatuiful creations of same architect in the whole city, but if you have the chance during your days in Barcelona ,don't miss a visit to La Sagrada Familia, and if you don't have much time, just take a look to the exterior of the beautiful temple and take a few pics.
In this picture you can see the building works, you can see clearly, the new part of the temple with a color much more clear than rest of the building,it seems that they have much work to do,in a projet the work will finished on 2,021!!

Another place not to be missed in your visit to Barcelona is: The PARK GUELL,a beautiful park also designed by Gaudi. This is the perfect place to take a break and see all beautiful Gaudi architecture, there are many nice places along the park to take good photos.
The best way to reach this park is take a taxi, the closest subway station is located more than one kilometer away and there are a few very long, narrow and steep streets to go up there because the park is located on a hill just outside of the center. There is a small bus that runs by this quarter of the city but I don't know the number and where you can take them,so the best option is take a taxi!.

This beautiful park was built between 1,900 to 1,914.It is one of Gaudi's more colorful and playfull works. In this picture you can see part of the hall,it is built with 84 columns with Doric inspiration, supporting quarter-spheres domes. On top of the hall there is like a lookpoint or terrace where you can see a very big part of the park. The columns in the hall, are a little bit crooked, even though you can't see it clearly on the picture.

The Colombus Monument is located at Colons' Square, close to the harbour or Port Vell. The monument was built in 1,888 for the world fair in Barcelona, and the statue has just 7 meters tall,(the whole monument is 60 meters tall) you can go to the top with small elevator, from top you'll see a impresive views of city and harbor!.
On this area you can see a few interesting places and buildings like Maritim Museum or Aduanas Building just next to Colon's Monument. Is also a nice place to walk and see the boats.
The hotel were I stayed during the VT meeting on 2001, it was very close to this area and it is a very good and quiet place of this huge city.Around you'll find a lot of shops, hotels and restaurants. It is located just next to Port Vell, with out any doubts this is one of most visited areas of the city!..

Located just next to Passeig de Gracia, another interesting place to go and see is: LES RAMBLES,in the center of Barcelona,is a market of flowers, and others articles.Really this market it is a Must See in Barcelona, there are also a lot of good hotels and restaurants on this area.
This is the perfect place to walk and have a drink in numerous cafeterias along the park with outdoor terraces, but becareful here a coffe or drink can cost you doble price than in other place around the city!.
Because Las Ramblas is one of most tourist spots in the city,it is always crowded with tourists and people that lives in Barcelona to have a drink or a nice stroll along the park. Here you'll find a lot of streets entertaineres aswell.
