As far as I know there are many side-by-side restaurants around the man-made lake of Kocaeli Fair.
There is a new restaurant called Antikkapi, decorated with ancient Ottomam-era home doors and gates at its inner walls.
And it is worht to mention the restorated and later opened to public service as a cafe and restaurant, the Pembe Kösk (Pink Kiosk).
And let us not skip the Kentsa Restaurant and Social Facilities. Before quake it was a splendid place for spendimng weekends for my family.
Inegöl Restaurant is also another older restaurant serving Imiters for years.
The prices are so just and equal, tips! hmm the waiters never get angry if you omit to give away your tips but they will serve well never thinking getting any tips after it is done.
Favorite Dish: You may try every kind of Turksih dishes including kebaps and fresh and dried cereals and as as a closer never skip making yummy the desserts. Ans please beware not eating your tips of fingers.
And Izmit is so famous with its own well-known kind of two specialities; SIMIT which is sold at every corner of the streets and PISMANIYE. Pismaniye nowadyas has converted itself into multy-kind of dessert. It is made only within Izmit and made from only dough, water and suger and the rest is just coming from the dextreous fingers of its masters.
