My trip to Breda was special
'cos it was the first time I went to the Netherlands
which is hard to believe considering I was already 21 by that time
and the Dutch border is only about 2-3 hours from where I live.
I guess it's hard to find a German of that age who hasn't been to Holland *lol* ;-)
......and if Hans' VT Meeting hadn't taken place in Holland
I probably still wouldn't have paid a visit to this lovely little country
which I hope to explore further one day!
Yes, I just loved Holland,
already from the minute on
my train crossed the German/Dutch border! *lol* ;-)
I just loved these endless green plains (I come from a low-mountain range area)
with their cute brick farm houses here and there,
I just loved the Dutch architecture and the whole atmosphere,
I just loved the friendly people and listening to Dutch.
Dutch is soo similar to German;
sometimes I could understand whole sentences,
however sometimes I didn't understand anything at all.
....I really regret not having visited Holland earlier.
So, if you've got the chance to go, then just do it!
