Mallorca belongs to Spain and is the biggest of the 4 Balearic Islands. They are located in the Mediterranean Sea. The island has a lot more to offer than many people think. It's not only lying at the beach, drinking Sangria all day long and partying (for all those who didn't know, these are the sterotypes Mallorca has to fight against). If you want to do and see more than this then try to avoid the area west of Palma; Palma is worth a visit though! Look for a hotel at the east coast or in the North where you'll find beautiful beaches and cities / villages which aren't that crowded (yet). Another popular opportunity is to hire a Finca, a farm house; away from the coast and the tourists. |
| | My favourite places on Mallorca are the tiny villages in the mountains at the west coast and the area around Alcudia in the North of the island. There, as well as in the interrior of the island, you'll find the "real" / original Mallorca. |

| Pros: | "great weather" | | Cons: | "partially VERY crowded" | | In A Nutshell: | "escape the tourist crowds and discover the original Mallorca" |
