I first set foot in Denmark in the port city of Rødbyhavn, on the Danish island of Lolland. I arrived there on a ferry from what was then West Germany. My final destination in Denmark was the capital city of Copenhagen, where I sent a couple of days. A trip to northern Europe should include at least a couple of days in Copenhagen and Denmark.
