A Year in Beijing - Beijing

I arrived in the summer of 1995 to work for three months. I ended up staying one year. Beijing is what you want to make of it, some love it, others hate it. I just walked around and took pictures. In fact I took over a thousand pictures during my stay, 700 of which made it into albums and you'll find 53 in the travelogue. Every photo comes with a small story. I sent the cover photo to a friend of mine who had commented that as Capital City, everything in Beijing must be signposted. Special thanks must go to Weber Li, Norman Chen and Jackey Hou with whom I worked most often and who became good friends. Also, Zhang Tao and Zhang Xiao Ming who played pool, drank San Miguel and showed me the nightclubs. We are not so different are we! Please enjoy your visit
