My Prague history

I spent a year working here 1996/97 and moved here to live in 1998. I've lived here for 6 years now (on and off) and the city is still changing. It makes me laugh that people say they've "seen" Prague having been here for a whole 48 hours. For people actually planning on coming to Prague, take a look at my external Prague Website as it has more specialist pages, it is in a better format and will probably be of much more help i.e it has more info and printable pages.

City Life

I don't just go to tourist sites. I use the city as would a normal Czech citizen. That means I know the backstreets, where to go, where not to go and how to get the most out of limited time in the city. In the pages, I don't always recommend the cheapest option. More likely I will recommend the most value for money. I list my favourite places and those nice places where I've visited but, can't call them favourites because I don't go there enough.

Guide, not history

You won't find any info on Prague historical facts on my pages at VT. Last time I looked there were at least a dozen other pages that said when Charles Bridge was built and what it was called before etc. I like history but, I prefer modern history. My VT Prague page is here for your use but, it will never achieve the level of knowledge on the External Page.
