I went here for my work. Now it is not possible to go there again, because of riots caused by political and power quarrals.
In this country I saw jungle, flying fish and I met nice people. It is really such a beautiful country. A lot of the British influence is still to be seen and in Freetown there is still a big office of the UN.
The country is very green and everything put to the ground is growing. There is a lot of poverty, but no one seems to be hungry. It has become really African after the British period. That means: Lots of maintenance is not done anymore, street trade is everywhere, roads are bad, public lightning doesn't work anymore, and so on, and so on.
I still should have some photographs of Freetown, but I cannot find them. If I do, I'll put them in. |
