Middlesbrough sits near the mouth of the River Tees in the north-east of England. It is a lively town with a proud industrial heritage, reflected in its main landmark, the unique Transporter Bridge spanning the Tees. Passengers and vehicles are lifted across the river on a large platform suspended from an overhead gantry.
I was born in Middlesbrough, have travelled a bit but still keep coming back.......It is a great town!
Check out my accomodation tip as I know The Longlands Hotel and the owner well.
Its in a good location for easy access to the town and main roads.You can walk into town in ten minutes or to the nearest pub in one.
