Massachusetts is a small state (I drove across it length-wise in a single day once) and yet it offers so much to see and do.

Boston is a bustling city that offers great shopping, loads of historical sites, and fantastic restaurants. The Cape and the islands offer the same only in a relaxed setting with the addition of the coastline full of lighthouses and grassy beaches. Heading out to the west, you can find a beautiful area for driving, especially in the fall, with dramatic valleys, quaint towns, and no hustle and bustle at all.

No matter what type of vacation you're looking for, you can find it in Massachusetts and if you want to see everything, it's small enough to make that an easily accomplished goal.
