"If You Can't Say Anything Nice..." Arizona by DueSer

I usually believe in the old adage, "if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all" so I won't say much about Arizona. I mean, sure it has the Grand Canyon and it's warm all the time but, there's warm and then there's Hellish and Arizona is definitely the latter. It is so hot it messes with your head. For example, while visiting my cousin, who lives in Phoenix, one year, she was having a party the next day so we spent a day driving around getting party supplies and food. It was so hot that, when we went out that evening for dinner and a movie, I remarked at how wonderfully cool it was. Then we passed a time/temperature sign and discovered that it was 99 degrees Farenheit. I have no idea what the high temperature had been during the day but if it made 99 feel cool and relaxing? Ick. Just, ick.
So, I try very very hard to NOT go to Arizona. Occasionally, on a road trip, I'll drive through but usually that route is through Flagstaff where it is cooler (although I hate that too because the traffic in Flagstaff is a nightmare!) but if I can help it, I just avoid the whole state.
- Pros:Chase Field and Spring Training
- Cons:The heat!
- In a nutshell:Too darn hot!
