The Center of the World

Usually people living in the capitale or the largest town of a country consider the rest of the inhabitants at a lower lever. For instance, France is Paris, UK is London, etc and probably New York is USA, however USA is for the world what Paris is for France, so New York is the center of the World, and in New York, Manhatan is the only place to be.

Fréderic, good to see you are back in Ghana. I enjoyed to read your NYC page. A friend in Manhattan invited us several times to look after his cats and stay in his apartment. Unluckily we didn't.

Waiters pre-calcultating the tip. An obnoxious habit, that promotes the idea that a tip is mandatory, regardless of service level. I presume they calculate the tip on the total bill, meal, tax, and any wine.
