Comfortable like all of them, this Novotel is a quite recent building in the centre of Nouakchott and at 5 minutes from the airport.

Unique Qualities: The bar is very special: you find all sodas and all kinds of fruit juices and fruit cocktails, but no alcohol. You just have to ask for imported beer, it is even not on the meny.

The chief barmaid is wonderful

When I arrived Nouakchott to settle there, I had to stay 6 weeks in the hotel.
Services is OK, rooms are decorated in a Morrocan style and are quite small, even if you take the comfort room.
Hotel is having many conferences outside and if your room has a view on the pool, you will be often disturbed by shouting Mauritanians.

Unique Qualities: The hotel is the second best ( or least bad) of Nouakchott, however, the restaurant is the most expensive for a very poor quality. For the price of one dinner, you have breakfast, lunch and dinner in good restaurants in town.

The cook in summer 2005 was very bad. During my stay, I could see him twice fighting with knoves with one of the waiters.
