Kaneshie market outside - Accra

Kaneshie market outside

Kaneshie Market

Kaneshie market is the second largest market of the Accra region. It is located in a big yellow 5 storeys building full of small shops for the market.
The people and shops are now so numerous that the places around are also invaded by merchants.
The area is also a big bus station for small busses and tro-tros.
Just climb the pathway on top of the main road and you will see those thousands of people going and sellin everywhere around you, these hundreds of tro-tros trying to park, embark and disembark people in the middle of the traffic.

A Sunday at Labadi Beach - Accra

A Sunday at Labadi Beach

LA Beach

The most popular beach in Accra and suburbs.
Always plenty people and a lot of music, either life either CD's.
Plenty bars and restaurants, you can have seats and parasols
On Thursday night, big parties on the beach.
Plenty bands are coming during the week-end. You can also buy crafts.
After 5:30, lots of people are coming to dance and it is almost impossible to just go out of the beach.
You will see children selling peanuts, water, chocolates, etc. Women proposing manucure, rastas proposing craft and jewellery.
Be careful, you cannot enter the see everywhere.
There are good watchmen and few larcenies. Anyway, be careful to your mobile phone, two of mine disappear at the beach. They just took the mobile, not my Rolex that was in the same bag!
A last word: unique in all African headcities, and moreover, the cleanest beaches you can see in West Africa are in Ghana.

Directions: Close to 5* hotels Labadi Beach Hotel and Palm Beach hotel, on the old road to Tema.
