Leiden is my home town. I live here for 15 years now and I love it very much. It's close to Amsterdam, so come and see it!
The historical city of Leiden is the second largest in The Netherlands, after Amsterdam. It consists of many streets, canals and squares, surrounded by old houses, churches and other monuments.
Some time ago, Tomt and filipdebont came to see me in Leiden. You can see the results in their pages! And only a few weeks ago, Manena from Indonesia payed a visit to this city that also has strong historical links with Indonesia and Japan.

The famous Pilgrim Fathers lived for some years in Leiden, where they got shelter and freedom of religion. From here, they set sail for America in their ship, the Mayflower. A monument and a museum are devoted to the pilgrims. |
