I used to work in this city which is surely different than other dutch cities. I cannot say it's picturesque, but it has its own charm...

monastery

Tilburg is a city where old and new are combined very often. The brick neo-style buildings are very interesting, like this old monastery, right next to a modern office buidling

graveyard

when I first saw the city, I was fascinated by its graveyards. They are typical roman-catholic, with lots of sculptures, crucifixes and pompous monuments.

Hi there, I can only agree with your initial comments about Tilburg having it's own charm. It certainly aint New York or London but it has something and still is very dear to me. Best of Luck for 2005
