  • There are many shops selling the mini figurines made from murano glass. From whole orchestras, cherubins, animals, gondolas, etc...

Prices varies greatly depending on the workmanship...

What To Buy: You could consider buying the whole orchestra set.... it's super cute!

I only got a lousy gondola and some cherries.. but i'm satisfied :)

What To Pay: 0.50 to 100+ euros

    Furla: Italian Brands

First thing i must mention.. don't expect any service from the lady in this store.. you're at her mercy.. not her! sheesh...

yeah well.. i needed to get something for my mum.. and they had the perfect bag (which came to S'pore only after the season ended in Italy, and selling it almost double the price).

Anybody who knows Furla would know that they sell anything from key rings, purses to shoulder bags and totes.

What To Buy: I got my mum a gorgeous shoulder bag.. can't wait for my turn to use it though.. hehe.

I got something for myself too.. in fact i got two pairs of gloves.. totally bought them on impulse coz the woman kept saying, " i need to close the shops, miss." But no regrets.. heeheehee

Gloves selling in the streetside stalls already cost around 25euros one pair. And my cheaper pair of gloves only cost me 28euros! Ok.. so maybe the 25euros is made of full leather and my cheaper gloves of wool.. but hey.. the edges around the wrist area have leather trimmings and a tiny ribbon.. super pretty.. so it's totally worth the buy, right?

What To Pay: Bags cost around 80 - 300euros
    Gloves 28 - 100 euros

Venetian Carnival Masks: Buy a Mask

  • Venice Venetian Carnival Masks
  • My mask is similar to these but
  • tinier

  • Any roadside souvenir stall..

But shops that have artists make their own masks are not all that expensive either.. and more unique as well.

What To Buy: Tourists go venice with the intention of buying a mask... And i was no exception. After watching the Carnevale on travel and living on Discovery.. who wouldn't want a mask?!?!

In fact.. i had a budget for a mask... 50euros in fact.. not a lot to some of you.. but a lot for me... and i was on a seach for.. THE MASK... MY MASK.. i saw so many.. but many just looked plain common and was not that cheap either.

I have to admit though.. that i did find quite a few that i thought were.. THE mask.. but they cost around 100euros... so they could not become MY masks...

The irony of it all.. i found this shop on BURANO, the lace island.. instead of Venice.. where the guy made his own masks.. and i got MY mask from there for 16euros!!! *phew* I really love MY mask.. even though it's too small to be worn.. but i'm gonna use it for display... it's really simple but gorgeous.

What To Pay: anything from 10euros to a few hundred euros!

    Sergio Rossi: Those gorgeous shoes

Women love shoes... so do i.. if only my feet had a higher threshold of pain.. i would be strutting about or even running around in 5" inch heels, the way Paris Hilton does in "The Simple Life. Well.. maybe next time.. just hopefully.. i'll be able to afford a pair of jimmy choos.. juz the thought of it makes me giggle.. hehehe... one can only hope

But before i digress too much.. Venice isn't all canals, gondolas, piazza san marco, campo after campo.. (as if that isn't enough to keep you occupied!)... There is a shopping street!!! ooooh.. how fun.. even if it's just peering through the windows...

There were two D&Gs along the same row.. gucci.. and armani.. the italians practically live & breathe these brands.. oh.. yah.. Prada is like worshipped there.. you can never miss a prada in Italy....

Oh yah.. i was told that the bag to be carryinging now is a Botega.. there is one around Fond di Farine... it really is much cheaper than Singapore.

I'm such a sucker for designer brands.. it's terrible i know.. but anyway.. i don't own anything! i just LOOK... hahaha

What To Buy: Italians are famous for anything fashionable.. buy some shoes if you have spare cash.. i wish i had! argh!

Pretty pretty prety shoes.. how you draw me to you...

What To Pay: i don't know.. but i'm quite sure i can't afford them anyway...
