Sugar Palm Resort & Spa: Phuket Hotel bargains November Sugar Palm Resort & Spa Review

You are choosing well ! Kata and karon both nice, quieter than Patong but still plenty of activity, Sugar palm kata has a good location short walk to the beach, I don't know when you plan to go but some amazing cheap deals at the moment
Sugar palm Kata is only THB 800 a night until the end of this month or 1,200 in October, November though shoots up to around 3,000, but still compared with other very good value

Out of the 2 I would go for Sugar Palm Kata
Do note though of course this is the midst of the rainy season, hence the cheap prices.

The Anantara Phuket has only been open a few months. It is one of the most luxurious pool villa resorts on Phuket. The mai Khao beach where the Phuket Anantara is located at Mai Khao Beach, a very quiet beach area in the north west of the island. The Anantara is not cheap, but is ideal if you are looking for luxury in a quiet area of Phuket away from the crowds. Anantara is an excellent group that provides very much a Thai style to their resorts.
Good service. The promotion rates that can be found reduces the price with their special free night offers.

The hotel has excellent facilities in the mid and upper price range. The location is ideal in Patong Beach for those seeking a hotel that is close to the beach and also very close to the entertainment and shopping areas of Patong Beach. You can also read the other reviews for the Patong Beach hotel. The Suites at the Patong Beach Hotel are good value when compared with the prices for suites elesewhere in Patong. The staff are friendly and helpful. Very popular for a hotel at Christmas in Patong, it gets fully booked for Christmas well in advance. PATONG BEACH: Coconut Village Patong Beach Patong Beach Resort Review

Coconut Village is a great hotel if you want something affordable, inexpensive, with a tropical feel. Located in the south part of Patong, a leisurely walk down to the beach. It is not as close to the busiest part of Patong but this for many is one of the main benefits. Close enough to restaurants, shopping and entertainment without being in the busiest area. Romms are reasonable for the price, service amailable.

Unique Qualities: Value for money for those seeking inexpensive comfort.

PATONG BEACH Hotels: 3 star hotels Patong Phuket Patong Beach Resort Review

As February is still peak season on Phuket I would certainly suggest booking in advance. You may find accommodation but with 10 of you together you may want anything from 3/4 to 5 rooms, so I would book in advance.
For Patong Phuket itself I would suggest:

Has a very large selection, the rates are clearly stated, no credit card required for an enquiry, check as many as you want, you only pay 1 night deposit and balance 2 weeks before arrival.
Some of the best 3 star places that I would call 'value for money' would be Patong bayshore which should be around THB 1,900 a night for 2 with tax, service charge and breakfast, , Thanthip Villa ( nice new small place convenient for beach ) about THB 2,000 for 2, Deevana about 2,600, if you want uppper 3 star larger resort style hotels, Thara Patong etc you go into the close to 4,000 a night range.

3 star can range from something like Thara patong, Safarai beach, Horizon etc which are close/along the beach road to places on 2nd Road ( rat-U-Thit ) that tend to be cheaper. Patong Bayshore certainly isn't luxury but benefits from being built in the days when real estate was cheaper, so it is low rise and just a few minutes walk to the beach, many new places are large high rise, Patong Bayshore has a more relaxed holiday / vacation feel and is reasonable for the price.
