A Maritime city

by Piggy73 - last update: Feb 27, 2007

It may just look like any other city but wander into to old part with it's narrow streets & a cosy pub or two then this myth is easily dispelled.

If you enjoy a beer then you are spoilt for choice with a diverse range of trendy bars, historical pubs, a theatrical pub, port side bars and don't write off the industrial area as "The Whalebone" pub brews it's own ale.

For the cultural visitor venture into the maritime, transport or slavery museums and there's a variety of artwork at the city gallery. Currently admission is free to all these attractions.

Deep ocean discoveries can be observed at The Deep aquarium.
