A long trip in 1998 Our longest trip was for 15 months and we tended to stay with local people thatwere involved in hospitality exchange schemes. On a few occasions we also did some work in exchange for accommodation and food. Our first stop was New Orleans where our arrival coincided with the annual Jazz festival and our journey ended in Hawaii before our flight took us back to London.
